Athenry Heritage Centre has been providing the following products and services since 1999:
- A focal point for local heritage including the provision of tourist information, guided walking tours of Athenry and networking with other visitor attractions in Galway East.
- Activities that include archery, dressing up in medieval costume, puppet shows, craft fairs, birthday parties, children's maze and seasonal events which include Santa's Winter Wonderland, Halloween and National Walled Towns Day.
- Local arts centre- exhibitions of visual arts, retailing of craft items, book launches and poetry festivals.
- Local genealogy centre- referrals to Galway Family History Societies
In 2006 and 2007, the ATHENRY HERITAGE CENTRE was presented with the Galway County Heritage Award for the Loughrea electorial area for its contribution to the preservation of the unique heritage and history of Athenry and its environs.

The services we provide compliment a unique visitor experience to the Athenry Arts & Heritage Centre. The exhibits are inter-active and the centre specialises with a hands on approach to history.
